Grant County Chamber hosted its 24th Annual Silent & Live Auction November 22, marking a notable change from prior years by moving the event to Bear Creek Coffee. The evening ran from 6 to 10 p.m. and offered guests a warm mix of beverages, hors d'oeuvres, conversation, and—most importantly—a wide variety of silent auction items.
A $500 Ulysses Bucks door prize drew plenty of attention, and the silent auction featured a stepped closing pattern that encouraged friendly competition on several items. Once the silent portion wrapped up, the crowd gathered for the live auction, with Bravanne Phelps taking the lead in helping auction off the featured items.
A large number of local businesses and organizations donated to the auction, and several volunteers helped bring the event together. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by Bear Creek Coffee’s decorating and preparations, which brought the spirit of the Christmas season to life.
