I've worked in a variety of communities and one entity that appears to be a staple in each one is a Senior Center. The difference lies in how it is utilized.
When I first visited Grant County Senior Center I was very impressed to say the least. Many times when I have visited these types of facilities, they are bare - not a patron in sight. Or at the very least maybe just one or two.
Not so for Grant County Senior Center.
And why is that you may ask? Because they don't believe in being stagnant here. The center is constantly looking for activities to offer to their patrons and they also allow activities to take place at their facility - which again, brings in people.
They have a full menu each week of meals at a very reasonable price You have just to call ahead and let them know to plan on you dining with them.
Those who work at the Center work hard to make sure patrons are well taken care of.
If you're a "senior" in Grant County, make sure you are taking time out to visit your local Senior Center. Don't miss out on the fun, the socialization, good food and more that is available to you there. If they don't have what your looking for - ask. They just might get it done for you.
