Grant County Recreation Commission is another gem in Grant County that proves you have only to look in order to see what all is available here.
Recently, the GCRC hosted a theatre performance featuring the talents of local youth in grades first through eighth. The performance was "The Big Bad Musical", with performers having only a short time to learn their lines, choreography and more.
And theatre isn't all you can find at GCRC.
Working under their mission: “Bringing people together, incorporating wellness, classroom, and sports to develop mind, body, self-esteem, and social values through total family participation of all ages and abilities. Using recreation to develop sportsmanship and citizenship for the future of Grant County citizens,” the local organization does just that in a variety of ways.
Want to get fit? GCRC offers fitness as part of their services. If you need a personal trainer or want to take part in classes such as Zumba, Yoga, PiYo or Aerobics - you can find them at the GCRC. There also have a fitness gym and a pool.
And there is more.
GCRC offers a variety of arts and crafts, cooking and baking - the list is long and there are activities for all ages. Sports is also part of their repetoire with basketball and wrestling activities.
