Here's Why Local Is the Way To Go

Grant County Bank - About More Than Money

Posted

Serving customers in Grant County since 1907, Grant County Bank endured the Great Depression of the 1930s, surviving through the 1980s although many other financial institutions were not as fortunate.

In the beginning, they were known at Grant County State Bank, changing their name in 1993 to Grant County Bank.

According to their website, the name change "reflects our respect for the past and our grateful acknowledgment to the men and women of this community whom we are privileged to serve."

And serve is what they do. Through the years, the local bank has proven they are not just about money - they are about serving people. Locally owned, the bank continues to be involved in a number of community activities showing their support above and beyond normal banking business.

They regularly collect food items for the local food pantry, encourage employees to be very active with Grant County Community Foundation, employees participate in handing out food items for the Kansas Food Bank, they sponsor the turtle race at Grant County Fair each year, staff members coach T-ball, and hold leadership roles throughout the local community.

And that is just a fraction of what they serve and support locally.

"Every day we work hard to meet the standards of performance that you deserve," their website states. "We are always looking for ways to improve. We always want to know how we can serve you better."

Grant County Bank - about more than just money.
