Homero D. Baeza, 47, born April 20, 1978, at Van Horn, Texas, passed away October 23, at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson, Kan. He was the son of Rumaldo Sanchez Baeza and Maria R Baeza.

Throughout his life, Homero moved to many places, including Satanta and Hugoton, building lasting friendships and memories wherever he went before settling in Ulysses in 2018.

A devoted partner, father, and family man, Homero’s greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones. He took great pride in providing for his family and worked hard every day to ensure their happiness and comfort.

Homero met Natalie December 17, 2020. She was the love of his life. Together, they were raising a beautiful family that was the center of his world. His children were his greatest pride and his most treasured blessings.

He was employed with Smyth Oil and Gas, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication.

Outside of work, Homero loved the simple joys in life, shooting his rifle, spending time with family, and watching football. He was a very loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers, rarely missing a game.

Homero will be remembered for his warm heart, steady presence, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His laughter, strength, and devotion will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

He is survived by his partner, Natalie Alaniz; mother, Maria Baeza; daughters: Haley Baeza and Kimberlie Baeza; sons: Ethan Baeza, Fabian Baeza and Homero Jr Baeza; granddaughter, Kehlani Baeza; and one grandchild on the way. Sisters: Maggie Burke, Belem Rey, and Lilli Vera; brothers: Juan Baeza, Samuel Baeza, and Herman Baeza;

He was preceded in death by his father, Rumaldo.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday October 28, with a service starting at 5 p.m., at Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, Kan.
