Hugoton Dust Bowl Riders Host 29th Annual Poker Run

The Dust Bowl Riders hosted the 29th Annual Brian Lamberson Memorial Poker Run Saturday, June 14. First Place hand was a prize of $1,000; second place, $500; and third place hand, $250. Participation in the event was $30 for a single, and $45 for a couple. Participants were able to purchase an extra hand for $5. Walk-In was $15. The run left at 2 p.m., from Bullwackerz Saloon, 109 East 6tth Street. They traveled to Johnson, Ulysses, Moscow and back to Bullwachkerz Saloon. Their registration included a meal with pork provided by Seaboard Foods. The event included door prizes, a 50/50 pot, a gun raffle, and a silent auction. T-shirts were sold during the event for $20 each. Music was provided all day by DJ Cla Hammer. Money raised during the event will go towards scholarships and local area charities. Among the riders was Anita Lane of Ulysses; and Steven and Charles White of Liberal.
