Team Double RAAM was the final Race Across America team to pass through Ulysses Time Station 23 on June 18. The tandem of Andrea and Mario Mueller arrived in Ulysses just before 9 a.m. on their way to the next stop in Montezuma. The duo and their support team were greeted by volunteers who faithfully worked the time station for a week, greeting riders and crews on their first Kansas stop, providing, drinks, snacks and a place to rest at the Grant County Fire Station.
Team Breathe America passed through Time Station 23 about 5 p.m. on June 17 on their trek through America. Team Breathe America consists of eight cyclists from Alaska, California and Illinois who have organized to ride Race Across America. Breathe America has two goals: Raise $200,00 for its event partner, the American Lung Association, and finish the relay in under nine days, the cut-off for official finishers. Team Breathe America consisted of Andrew Stadler, Michael Ryan, Ben Neiburger, Mark Kahn, Bo Hammer, Aaron Ramirez, Trevor Storrs, and Steve Lindbeck.
