MEADE, Kan. - A Meade County Deputy made a traffic stop January 17, which netted drugs with a street value at more than $850,000.
According to authorities, the deputy made a traffic stop of a 2000 Toyota Corolla, which led to a consensual search of the vehicle. During the search, 37 pounds of suspected fentanyl pills were seized and the driver, Julio Reyes Beltran was arrested.
Beltran is now facing charges of: Distribution of a controlled substance, No Drug Tax Stamp, Use of a Communication Facility to Commit a Felony, and Display of a License Plate.
A spokesperosn said the officer seized approximately 167,000 pills, which have a street value of $850,000.00.
