Mathew Medill, CPA, CFE and Rachael Thooft, CPA, CFE believe professionalism, responsiveness and quality are the secrets to its success. The accounting firm at 104 North Main in Ulysses played host to last Friday’s weekly Chamber Coffee, and Medill thanked everyone in attendance, introducing a staff which includes several new employees at both the Ulys-ses and Lakin offices.
Medill & Thooft, CPA is licensed in Kansas, specializes in accounting and is professional, experienced, and affordable, offering a broad range of services for business owners, executives, and independent professionals.
Thooft said the current Ulysses office has recently been remodeled.
“We had some water damage that was never ending,” she said, mentioning the new park the city is putting in immediately north of the office. Medill said they have been working with the city on the park, and the city has big plans for the slender space.
“It’s a good co-op, again being a local community working together,” Medill said.
Hauser was thankful for what the firm brings to the community.
“We really appreciate what you give to the community and the support,” Hauser said, adding Thooft has been on the Chamber board for a number of years.
Other events taking place that the Chamber is gearing up for include the local business owners and managers meeting at 7 a.m. March 12 at Bear Creek Coffee. Hauser said it’s a group that meets to see how it can help support the community and what the business needs are.
“We’ve been talking a lot about healthcare in the past but there will be other things discussed, as well,” Hauser added.
