LAVERNE, Okla. - The Laverne Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation June 22, to investigate allegations of sexual assault.
OSBI special agents began their comprehensive investigation and identified the suspect as 66-year-old Christopher Cassel, a pastor in Laverne, Okla.
Based on the information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Cassel was arrested and booked into the Harper County Jail on two counts of Forcible Sodomy, one count of Distribution of Narcotics, and one count of Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor. This is still an ongoing investigation at this time.
OSBI expressed appreciation to the Laverne Police Department for their continued assistance with this investigation.
