One Arrested On Drug Charges - Haskell County

SATANTA, Kan. - Haskell County Deputies conducted a traffic stop December 1, after observing a vehicle with only one functional taillight traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 56 near Road 190 in Satanta.

According to authorities, the driver, identified as Audric Roland, agreed to perform a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and Preliminary Breath Test. While administering each test, deputies observed suspected drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle and obtained consent from Roland to conduct a vehicle search.

After further investigation, deputies found what they suspected to be marijuana inside of the vehicle.

Roland, who authorities did not say where he was from, was subsequently booked into the Haskell County Jail for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, failure to produce a driver’s license upon demand, and suspected DUI.
