The annual Quilt Retreat in Ulysses has drawn ladies from Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, and of course right here in Ulysses. Hosted March 19-21 at Grant County Civic Center, the event has steadily grown each year. This was the fourth year, the first hosted 58, with the most recent event hosting 108. During the three days, those participating enjoy meals, games, demonstrations, and fellowship as they work on quilting projects. They share their knowledge of the quilting process with each other - providing a wonderful opportunity to learn. During the event, there is also a silent auction, with proceeds going Stitches iN Time Quilt guild to be used for educators participating in the retreat as well as for the monthly programs. This year included a program for the first grant county quilt of valor presentation.
