Ricardo Levario Baeza, 52, died Saturday, December 21, 2024, near Dodge City, Kan.
He was born June 19, 1972, in Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Rosendo Apodaca and Antonia Victoria (Baeza) Levario.
When Ricardo was 19 years old, he moved to the United States.
He worked in the oil field until he started his own diesel mechanic shop, RL Diesel Repair.
He married Araceli Valenzuela in 2001 in Ulysses.
Ricardo had many trucker friends and will be remembered for being a hard worker and having a caring soul.
Ricardo is survived by his wife, Araceli, Ulysses; children: Estefeny Valenzuela, Garden City, Kan., Erika Valenzuela of Mexico, Sebastian Levario, Ulysses, Ricardo Levario, Jr., Dodge City, and Valeria Levario, Ulysses; father, Rosendo Apodaca of Texas; mother, Antonia Levario of Mexico; brother, Ramon Ontiveros, Ulysses; sister, Juliana Ontiveros, Ulysses; and three grandchildren: Alexis Villegas and Isabella Rodriguez, Garden City, and Josue Aragon, Ulysses.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2024, at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, with Reverend Eric Gyamfi officiating.
Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
