Several Lives Lost In Separate Fatality Crashes Last Week

Several lives were lost in separate fatality crashes last week.

A fatality accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon (December 17) at approximately 2:49 p.m. in Kiowa County, claimed the life of a Hugoton man and a Stratford, Texas teen.

The accident was on Highway 54 milepost 98.3 Westbound. A 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 being driven by Donald Knier, 83, of Hugoton was Westbound on US 54 at approximately milepost 98.3 when it went left of the center line. A 2005 Ford F150 being driven by Tabitha Ward, 17, of Stratford Texas attempted an avoidance maneuver before colliding head on with The Knier vehicle. Both vehicles caught fire.

Knier and Ward both died as a result of the collision.

A fatality accident occurred on Tuesday evening at approximately 8:31 p.m. on US-270 at South County Road 206, approximately three miles southeast of Woodward, Okla., claimed the life of a Guymon, Okla., man.

A 1998 Ford F150 driven by Abraham B. Robledo, 34, of Guymon, was traveling southeast on US-270 when he failed to negotiate the curve to the right. The pickup departed the roadway to the left, entering the median. Robledo over-corrected, re-entering the wrong way then the vehicle departed the roadway to the right, entering a broad slide. The Ford overturned one and one-half times, ejecting the driver. The truck came to rest on it’s top facing south.

Robledo was transported by Woodward EMS to Integris Health Woodward Hospital. He was pronounced deceased at Integris Health Woodward Hospital by hospital staff due to injuries sustained in collision.

A fatality accident occurred Wednesday morning (December 18) at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Oklahoma Highway23 and Hollow E0288 road, approximately 20 and one-half miles south of Beaver, Okla.

A 2013 Honda Odyssey driven by Jose Tol, 39 of Guymon, Okla.. was southbound on OK-23, when he left of center and struck a 1989 Peterbilt driven by Martin Gonzalez,60, of Stinnett, Texas The Tol vehicle traveled south, rolling approximately three-quarter times, coming to rest on the drivers side in the west ditch. Tol was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision.

A passenger in the Honda, Domingo Mulul Us 27 of Guymon, was pronounced deceased at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision.

Other passengers in the Honda Odyssey included Pablo Leon of Guymon. He was flown from the scene by Life Star to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas, in stable condition with head, trunk and leg injuries.

Miguel Morales of Guymon was transported by Booker, Texas EMS to Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton, Texas in stable condition with head, trunk and leg injuries.

Laura Rivera of Guymon was transported by Booker EMS to Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton in stable condition with head, trunk and leg injuries.

Hector De La Cruz of Guymon was taken by air-evac to University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas in stable condition with trunk and leg injuries.

The driver of the Peterbilt, Martin Gonzalez, was treated at scene.
