Sharlett Dyann Lamberson, 75, died Saturday, May 9, at her home in Ulysses.
She was born November 1, 1950, in Garden City, Kan., the daughter of Harold and Clara (Johnson) Betterton.
Sharlett grew up in Pritchett, Colo., where she graduated high school as the Valedictorian and continued her education at Amarillo Business School.
Sharlett moved to Ulysses in 1969. She met Gail Lamberson in Ulysses, and they were married March 21, 1970.
She began her career in banking at Southwestern Savings and Loan, Credit Union of the Southwest and for more than 30 years was a loan officer at Golden Plains Credit Union.
Sharlett loved the Denver Broncos and Elvis, but her grandsons and family were the most important thing to her.
Sharlett is survived by her daughters: Tess Peden and husband, Kurtis, and Brandi Salinas and husband, Francisco, all of Ulysses; mother, Clara Betterton, Ulysses; three sisters: Debi Hagerman and husband, Richard, Sherry Betterton, and Cindy Garcia and husband, Ernie, all of Ulysses; four grandchildren: Tyler Peden and wife, Alexis, Tanner Peden, Braysen Salinas, and Jaxsen Salinas; and two great-grandchildren, Finn and Miles Peden.
Sharlett is preceded in death by her father, Harold Betterton; and husband, Gail Lamberson.
A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m., Friday, June 5, at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, with Pastor Marcos Martinez officiating.
A private family inurnment is planned at the Ulysses Cemetery.
