SUBLETTE, Kan. - Haskell County Deputies were contacted by Centura Bank in Sublette September 23, who advised them a male subject had attempted to cash a fraudulent check, but fled the scene upon sensing suspicion from staff.
Deputies subsequently located the male subject traveling north through a field at the intersection of Haskell County Road LL and Haskell County Road 120.
The individual, identified as Antony Plaza, was taken into custody.
Plaza was arrested for forgery, theft by deception, theft of services, possession of stolen property, and attempted theft by deception.
