Tamara Jonelle “Tammie” Hensley, 66, died Monday, July 21, at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
She was born May 3, 1959, in Garden City, Kan., the daughter of Wesley E. “Bud” and Georgia (McGillivray) Blalock.
Tammie was a lifetime resident of Ulysses.
She graduated from Ulysses High School and furthered her education at Colby Community College.
She worked various jobs over the years including KULY, The Ulysses News, USD 214, Frazee Abstract and the elevator during harvest season.
Tammie loved to play games and volunteer in the community. She was an active member of Shelton Memorial Christian Church, and the Dexter D. Harbour American Legion Post #79 Auxiliary.
Tammie is survived by her daughters: Paige Crombie, Lehi, Utah, and Catherine Jacobsen, Arvada, Colo.; niece and nephew, Tara Blalock and David Blalock; great-nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
Tammie is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Georgia Blalock; brother, Ronald E. “Butch” Blalock; and husband, Norman Hensley.
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
