The Ulysses High School Theater production of “The Lightning Thief, The Percy Jackson Musical,” wrapped up a three-performance run Saturday afternoon at Kepley Middle School.
Directed by Misti Becker, the performance is set at a summer camp for children of the mythical Greek Gods. Percy Jackson (Jonathan Pauda) is sent to the camp by his human mother to meet his father, Poseidon, where he retrieves the stolen lightning bolt of Zeus.
In a statement by Becker listed in the program, she says this is her last show.
“I have loved watching students shine on stage every year,” Becker said. “I have laughed so hard at the funny rehearsals; granted some of that laughter probably happened because go shear exhaustion.
“As I wrap up my time as the director, I wanted to say how grateful I am that I have had the privilege of sharing this experience with so many wonderful students and adults.”
