Ulysses Gun Club hosted the weekly Chamber Coffee February 13, at Grant County Civic Center.
Robin Leonard, Chamber Director, welcomed Chase Trahern, President of The Ulysses Gun Club.
“This will be our 51st Gun Club and Coin Show," Trahern said at the Coffee.
Trahern told those at the Coffee that the event would take place at Grant County Civic Center for three days, February 14-16. Friday and Saturday the show was open from 9 a.m., until 6 p.m., and it was open from 9 a.m., until 4 p.m. Sunday.
"There will be 141 tables setup," Trahern announced. "The Scentsy lady will be here, something for the ladies. We will have something for everyone."
Trahern said there is a "great Gun Club here in Ulysses".
"The Gun Club is made up of Ulysses and surrounding counties," he said. "You can join the Gun Club and pay a yearly membership fee."
Trahern said he enjoys this community and being in the Gun Club,as well as having "younger kids" in their club.
"They learn a lot of respect," he said. "Our youth have a lot of respect. The Gun Club helps 4-H, the community. The Gun Club was started in 1979, we have hundreds of members."
Representatives of Pioneer Electric Cooperative announced at the Coffee that The Ulysses Gun Club is it’s most recent H.U.G.S. recipient! The club was awarded a $2,850 H.U.G.S. grant and a matching sharing success grant courtesy of CoBank totaling $5,700.
