An injury accident occurred at approximately 8:19 a.m., Thursday morning, December 11, on US Highway 54 westbound at milepost 108.
Authorities said a 2025 Hyundai Tucson being driven by Stephen O’Neill, 44, Lawrence Kan., was westbound on US-54, while a 2007 GMC Yukon being driven by Dario Flores, 57, Ulysses was eastbound on US-54.
O’Neill was turning south onto Cottonwood Street in front of Flores causing the two vehicles to collide.
A passenger in the Flores vehicle, Silvestre M. Flores, 85, Ulysses was taken to Kiowa County Memorial Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
Dario Flores was taken to Kiowa County Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
O’Neill was not injured.
