Ulysses Police Department is currently working on two burglary/theft cases which occurred to two separate businesses recently.
Officers made quick work of the first incident, which was reported to them at 12:30 p.m., Monday, March 3, at Bear Creek Coffee, 107 N. Baughman Street.
According to a press release from Chief of Police Ron Vagher, through their investigation of the incident, "an officer was able to determine the incident occurred when the businesss was closed," and that some items were removed from the business.
"Through the investigation, our officer was able to identify three suspects in this incident," Vagher said, adding the officer was "unable to recover" the stolen items at this time.
Vagher said the identity of the three would not be released at this time, pending formal charges being filed with Grant County District Court.
The Ulysses Police Department was made aware of another burglary/theft incident at 3:12 a.m., March 19, when they responded to an alarm at Grant County Drug, 219 N. Main Street.
"Upon arrival at the scene, officers were able to determine that someone had forcibly entered the business," Vagher said in the release. "Several items were removed from the business during this incident."
According to Vagher, the incident is still under investigation by the Ulysses Police Department. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Police Department at (620) 356-3500.
