Reports have been received of a scam circulating on Facebook and Cash App.
An individual is posing as a seller and requesting a $1,000 down payment for a vehicle purchase.
Please use caution:
νDo not send money upfront for a vehicle that has not been seen in person
νAvoid using Cash App or other non-secure payment methods for large purchases
νBe cautious of deals that seem too good to be true
νVerify the seller and meet in a safe, public location
