The Scholarship Committee of the Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital Volunteers has announced its selection of recipients for 2025.
The following individuals will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for continuing education in a health related field:
Daisy Rivera (Washburn University, Topeka, KS – Radiologic Technology); Brittany Raines (University of Missouri, Kansas City – Dentistry); Megan Nightengale (Parker University, Dallas, TX – Doctorate of Chiropractic); Melani Lara (Colby Community College, Colby, KS – Dental Hygienist); Devin Walker (School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, Omaha, NE – Physical Therapy).
The following individuals will receive a $750 scholarship:
Clarissa Sianuqui (Flint Hills Technical College, Emporia, KS – Dental Hygiene); Roman Romero (Pratt Community College, Pratt, KS – Athletic Trainer); Ximynalee Rojas (University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS – Physician Assistant); Nayeli Romero (Seward County Community College, Liberal, KS – Nursing); Fatima Carrillo (University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS – Biology, Pre Med towards and MD degree).
These scholarships are awarded every year to both high school seniors and others in the community who wish to begin or continue advanced education in a health related field.
The money comes from the Auxiliary’s gift shop profits and other fundraisers.
"We also receive support and donations from the community," said a spokesperson for the organization. "We are grateful for the generous support we receive from our community."
