Ulysses High School's Justin Coffey was recently awarded the 2025 Kansas principal of the year Area 4 Award.
Coffey was recognized in Wichita Kan., at the KPA (Kansas Principal Association) Conference.
USD214 expressed their appreciation to Coffey for all his dedication and hard work.
“UHS is very proud to celebrate Mr. Coffey and all he does to make our school a place where every student can succeed,” a spokesperson for the school said.
Coffey stated he enjoys being the High School Principal for UHS. He started as an assistant principal for three years and then he has been principal for four years - seven years in total counting being assistant principal.
His most memorable memory, he said, is when they started having a High School Dance, all the students enjoyed it and were having a great time.
“It brings joy to me knowing my students are really enjoying themselves and having a great time,” he said.
