The Kepley Middle School Lady Tiger basketball teams swept the visiting Hugoton Lady Eagles Thursday evening. The eighth grade A-team eked out a 29-28 win over Hugoton while the eighth grade B-team eased to a 21-18 win.
In the A-team game, Kinlie Hill led the way with 11 points including two 3-pointers; Aniya Rodriguez scored eight points and also hit a 3-pointer in the second quarter; Chloe Schultz scored three, Avery Mullen three, and Karen Garcia three, Victoria Martinez added a free throw.
In the B-team’s 21-18 win, Magaly Garcia led the way with eight points, Gabby Jaquez six, Dani Martinez five, and Lluvia Armenta 2.
•The 7th grade A-team girls downed the Lady Eagles 35-28 but individual stats were not provided.
