As the Ulysses Lady Tiger volleyball team is fast approaching the Oct. 12 GWAC tournament in Hugoton, the girls have been playing some of the best competition coach Jillian Scott could find in order to make the team better.

The Lady Tigers returned to UHS Oct. 3 for a pink-out triangular against Scott City and Hugoton before an October. 5 trip north to Oakley for a tournament that saw the Lady Tigers play five matches in one day.

The Lady Tigers earned a split in the home pink-out tri, falling to Scott City 25-21, 26-24 and defeating Hugoton 25-15, 25-18.

Saturday in Oakley, Ulysses took on Winona Triplains and Oakley (scores were not provided), fell to Hays 25-23, 25-15; defeated Bird City Cheylin 25-15, 25-16, and fell to Hitchcock County, Nebraska 25-17, 24-26, 23-25.

After a home dual this past Monday against Leoti Wichita County, Ulysses travels to Holcomb Thursday before the GWAC Tournament Oct. 12 in Hugoton. The ladies wrap up the season at home October. 21 against Hugoton for senior recognition.
