The truck rumbles alive
Growling like a beast
It flies off into the night
Where will it go?
The long winding road
Barreling down the plains
Flying up and around the
mountains
Two different worlds
Two cultures, Two communities
Separated by one long wall
Excitement wells inside of me
Coasting into the driveway
The beast rumbles off to sleep
A singular light shines through a
grated window
Inside a family shares a meal
Made from scratch, the aroma fills the air
Roosters call
The church bell rings
Cows moo
Goats bellow
Tractors leave
There is peace
There is calm
There is happiness
It's time to go
Happiness turns to sadness
I say goodbye
My family tells me to return
I promised i would
But i didn’t know that would be the last time I would see them
