Seven wrestlers from the Ulysses Wrestling Club youth wrestling team competed at the USAWKansas State Championship in Topeka March 14-16 at the Stormont Vail Events Center.
Coach Adam Salas said it was the toughest tournament of this season and good job to all those who qualified and experienced this tournament. The seven wrestlers who competed were Penelope Orosco, Deyvian Rosales, Abram Mendoza, Madyson Gorman, Grayson Gorman, Matthew Salas and Emmarie Orosco.
Three of these walked away with placements and six of the seven wrestlers are first year wrestlers. Coaches Adam and Vincent couldn’t be happier!
Those who placed were:
Matthew Salas - 5th place
Emmarie Orosco - 5th place
Grayson Gorman - 6th place.
