The Ulysses High School Yearbook class traveled to Garden City on Friday, Aug. 28, to attend the Jostens One Day Workshop at Garden City Community College.
Ms. Kaede Edmondson, who is teaching yearbook for the first time this year, took 13 students to the workshop. Students learned about yearbook design, photography, storytelling and ways to be creative while putting together the 2026-2027 yearbook.
“The workshop we attended today was insightful,” Edmondson said. “As a new yearbook teacher, I was able to get a lot of new ideas to take back to the classroom with me, and I am excited to use them with the students this year. Hopefully, they were able to learn something new that makes them excited to be creative.”
The workshop was led by award-winning journalism educator and Jostens ambassador Mitch Eden.
The UHS Yearbook staff is now ready to put those new ideas to work creating the 2026-2027 yearbook.
